Welton Medical was a founder member of the SBA in 1992. The SBA is the European Trade Association for companies who provide sterile barrier systems, associated equipment and accessories
The Medical Division started manufacturing sterilisation paper bags for the NHS in 1968 and had a modest export business in Europe and the Middle East.
The company diversified into Medical Packaging.
The Paper Division was manufacturing retail carrier bags for the UK chains. There was also a thriving export business to retailers in Europe.
